What We Offer

Our dentists far exceed their yearly required dental training requirements to remain on the forefront of the newest, most advanced clinical techniques and technology in the industry. Evidence of this effort can be found in being one of few offices that can offer 3d cone beam radiographs, same day crowns and guided implant surgery. All of this technology allows our experienced team the tools necessary to provide effective, comfortable and long lasting care that we feel all of our patients deserve.

Bonding

Minor imperfections in your smile can be easily remedied with the use of dental composite or filling material. This tooth colored restoration material has come a long way over the years and delivers an amazingly natural appearance in a short, single visit. If your teeth are already in an ideal position, often times, this tooth colored filling material can be applied to improve the shape and color of your existing teeth. A much cheaper alternative to porcelain veneers! It is extremely conservative and can often be performed without anesthetic.

Extractions

Dental x-ray

At Filliman Dental, we are always doing our best to save teeth. However, there are instances where tooth extraction is necessary, and sometimes, the only option. It is important to perform extractions carefully and to be as atraumatic as possible to preserve the remaining bone. This will leave the door open in the case you want to pursue replacing the tooth with an implant or other methods of tooth replacement.

Tooth extraction may be necessary if:

  • The tooth is severely broken or decayed

  • Not enough tooth structure remains to properly restore the tooth

  • Severe infection

  • Bone loss due to periodontal disease

  • Root resorption

Crowns

crown.jpg

The dental crowns of old are often times regarded as unnatural looking, detracting from the beauty of a patient’s smile. With today’s wide range of materials and cements available, we can more accurately match the color and appearance of your natural teeth to seamlessly blend the restoration to fit your smile. By utilizing CEREC technology, our dentists will have full control of the color and contour of your new restoration, that you get to see come to life, directly, chairside.

When Do I Need A Crown?

  • To protect and strengthen weak or broken tooth

  • To restore severely decayed teeth

  • To hide unattractive teeth

  • To cosmetically enhance a smile

  • To complete a dental bridge

  • To protect a tooth after root canal therapy

At Filliman Dental, we understand that in today’s society, our patients time is very valuable. That is why our patients are always impressed and relieved at the concept of receiving a crown restoration all in one appointment. No more finicky temporary crowns, gagging impressions, or uncomfortable second visits! Better results in less time.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the ultimate solution to replacing missing teeth as they are the closest thing that a dental professional can provide that simulates an actual tooth. When integrated with today's latest technologies and techniques, the dental implant procedure is now easier and less invasive than ever. Through 3D planning, the implant procedure can be properly planned and executed digitally, well in advance, to guarantee the best possible outcome.

Studies have indicated, that those suffering from missing or decaying teeth, while uncomfortable and painful, also experience decreased confidence and self esteem. At Filliman Dental, our team offers dental implant placement and restoration to restore missing teeth so our patients can smile with confidence. If you are currently missing teeth or experiencing pain or discomfort, it may be time to give us a call for a free consultation. As your dentist, we will examine your oral condition, as well as your health history, to determine if you are a good candidate for dental implants.

Clear Correct

Often times, the limiting factor in a patients decision to pursue straightening their teeth, is the unattractive idea of metal braces. At Filliman Dental, we offer an alternative to metal braces that is low profile, discreet and virtually invisible. This retainer like, clear aligner therapy, utilizes a series of aligners, changed out every 2 weeks, to slowly move your teeth into a more ideal position. The aligners can also be removed, as to not interfere with daily activities such as eating or brushing your teeth. However, optimal results are achieved only when aligners are worn for the recommended 22 hours a day. But a small commitment can bring big changes.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal. These words have a negative connotation, but they don't have to! A root canal is a procedure that removes the nerve from the tooth and replaces it with a filling material to keep it sealed and safe from bacteria. Using local anesthesia, we can make the procedure comfortable for it's duration. Many of our patients even fall asleep while it's being performed!

At Filliman Dental, we use the latest equipment and technology to make root canal therapy faster and more efficient. With the use of our cone beam (3d scan) machine, we can even find canals and cracks that used to hide with traditional x-rays to give your teeth a better long term prognosis. We want your teeth to last a lifetime!

Scaling & Root Planing

Scaling and Root planing, or SRP, is a periodontal treatment used to treat mild to moderate periodontal disease. At every exam appointment at Filliman Dental, we take great care to not only evaluate the health of the teeth but also the foundation or support that holds your teeth in place. It is common for tartar and plaque to buildup beneath the gumline of your teeth resulting in inflammation and bone loss. This bone loss, in moderate to severe cases, can result in tooth mobility and even tooth loss. If you are diagnosed with this active disease, it may be indicated to receive scaling and root planing or otherwise known as a "deep cleaning". This involves taking specialized instruments and cleaning deep beneath the gum to clean bacteria, plaque, tartar and other irritants off of the tooth roots. If done properly, the inflammation and bone loss should stop progressing, therefore, greatly improving your oral health and increasing the longevity of your teeth.

Veneers

Don't like the size, shape and/or color of your teeth? Want to transform your smile? Veneers may be the solution for you! With some careful planning, most smiles can be drastically changed with the addition of porcelain veneers. A veneer is a thin piece of custom shaped ceramic that can be adhered to the front of your teeth to the desired size and shape. With the wonderful technology that exists at Filliman Dental, the process can be expedited, sometimes performed in just one day. Imagine walking in with the smile that has been holding you down and walking out completely transformed after just one appointment! How powerful is that?

Implant supported dentures

Implant supported dentures can be a fantastic solution for those patients lacking the majority of their natural teeth. By supporting the dentures with implants, a patient’s chewing ability, appearance, and confidence using the denture can be greatly improved. If you have an existing denture that is ill fitting or only stays in with mounds of adhesive, this solution could make a world of difference. Implants will also stabilize the size and shape of your jaw bones to maintain your facial proportions and minimize the formation of wrinkles. If you are interested in improving the function of your current dentures or starting anew, give our office a call today. We utilize the latest technology to make the implant process easy and painless.

Bridges

card_img_crowns_bridges_02.jpg

A bridge is a top solution for replacing missing teeth. It consists of one or many artificial teeth cemented in place using your natural teeth on either side for support. This “bridging” of the gap is where the dental bridge gets its name. The finished prosthesis will look and function just like your other teeth. We work diligently to ensure that all of our dentistry is as life like as possible. If you would like to discuss replacing one or many missing teeth, call Filliman Dental today.
